The Desert Sun Resort is a nude resort that offers five-star amenities. Located on acres of beautiful landscaped grounds, this is the perfect place for a clothes free vacation. Membership is for adults only and there are strict rules governing access to this property with drop-bys being prohibited. Membership as well as day passes are for couples only.
Amenities include three heated pools, two hot tubs, a lit tennis court, a restaurant, and bar. There is also a full service spa to help you with complete relaxation. The resort is minutes away from the Palm Springs International Airport and downtown Palm Springs where there is plenty of upscale shopping and dining.
Desert Sun Resort has a variety of guest rooms, villas, and condominiums as well as the full service resort hotel. Homes have a seamless end of luxury and features such as fireplaces and beautiful master suites with whirlpool tubs. Many bedrooms look out over the stream and waterfalls. The Chaparral nudist hotel has rooms with balconies and is the site of many famous movie star parties. All rooms include A/C, mini fridges, cable TV, and IPOD docking clocks.
People who have been to this premier nudist resort say that they became comfortable within the first ten minutes of being there. The staff is very helpful in welcoming first time visitors and steps are taken to ensure a safe, accepting, non-sexual atmosphere. Shedding clothes is said to take away life’s pretenses and helps to shed stress as well.
The Desert Sun Resort was once where hotels were owned by Horace Heidt, Doris Day, and Errol Flynn. This resort is in the Movie Colony which was named for many of the houses that were built in this area specifically for the Hollywood elite. Actors who were under long-term contracts had to stay within a 100 miles of the filming site and Palm Springs is 99 miles from Hollywood. Many actors liked to stay here so they could secretly steal away.
